Dr. Timothy Brown

Dr. Brown was born in Brooklyn, NY, and grew up in Northwest New Jersey. After college, he attended medical school until realizing his heart lay in working with animals. Dr. Brown matriculated at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and did his clinical rotations at the University of Minnesota.

After graduating, Dr. Brown practiced general veterinary medicine and surgery for 5 years in New England. He then elected to do an intensive emergency and critical care internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas in Cary, NC. Upon completing his internship, Dr. Brown practiced emergency medicine and surgery for two years. Dr. Brown acquired Setauket Animal Hospital in 2013 and has been renovating, modernizing, and growing it ever since.

Dr. Brown brings to Setauket Animal Hospital a vast knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine. His years of general practice, coupled with his time at an advanced specialty hospital and experience practicing emergency medicine, make him a well-rounded and progressive doctor.

In his free time, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family, including his rescue pups, Levi and Mia, and two rescue cats, Blessing, and Jasper.
